Along with the Carter Family, Doc Watson, Dolly Parton, and others, MHM regular David Johnson was an initial inductee into the Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame.  This year, 2009, David’s cousin, Eric Ellis, was also an inductee.  Eric is a master of the 5-string banjo.  For this concert only, David Johnson and Eric Ellis will take the MHM stage, along with our friends Dave Haney and Billy Gee.  Dave Haney has received a $7,250 grant from the North Carolina Arts Council, for the purpose of recording a CD to preserve the contributions Eric Ellis has made to bluegrass music.
