White Top Mountain is near the intersection of North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. This small Virginia community has long produced great old-time music. (Eleanor Roosevelt used to visit there to hear good fiddling.) The tradition of excellence continues with the White Top Mountain Band. They feature old-time fiddling, banjo playing, and singing. This spring they were in Australia; this summer, for the first time, they'll be on Mountain Home Music. Tommy and Tracy Smith, from Boone, will also share a few tunes.
