If you listen to CDs, the radio, and/or to an I-Pod, you also listen to studio musicians; they're hired to make the big-named stars sound extra-special good. David Johnson and a group of his friends are part of a select group of musicians that travel from studio to studio, mostly playing in the background. For this concert, they'll move to center stage and play a wide range of styles, including country, gospel, bluegrass, and the blues. Expect to hear, too, some Floyd Kramer and Ronnie Millsap piano classics.
