The Mountain Dulcimer is a relatively small, hourglass shaped instrument with deep roots in the Appalachian region, and specifically in Watauga County. Playing the dulcimer (and hammer dulcimer, the autoharp, and guitar) has been Anne Lough's life's work. She performs and does workshops on Appalachian music, stories, and dance throughout the U.S. This will be her first appearance on MHM.
